Charles’ responsibilities include assisting members with their quality, clinical and regulatory operations.
The foundation of Charles’ nursing career is rooted in acute care settings – primarily critical care nursing where he served as a Clinical Coordinator in the Emergency Department. Charles then went on to become a Director of Nursing for several years and finally before joining the HCANJ team he served as Clinical Services Specialists Director over several communities.
Charles was the recipient HCANJ’s 2015 Nurse of the Year award and was a part of a panel of speakers that presented on “Changing the Culture of Dementia Care” during the HCANJ annual convention. Charles is an Instructor for the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Program and is a Certified Dementia Instructor and Practitioner. Charles also is a board member at the New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing.
