Nurse Assistant Training
The need for highly skilled, compassionate certified nurse assistants (CNAs) is more critical than ever. AHCA’s renowned How to be a Nurse Assistant curriculum can help you address your workforce challenges and frontline staff shortages. Our curriculum meets all federal guidelines, can be adapted for different state-specific requirements and customized for various course length requirements. Available in print for in-person training or as a hybrid course, the curriculum produces highly trained CNAs who elevate the quality of resident care for residents in long-term care.
Gero Nurse Prep
Gero Nurse Prep is an online training course designed to prepare RNs who care for elders to attain board certification in Gerontological Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This course equips RNs with a broad array of clinical knowledge, skills, and competencies that are tested on the ANCC certification exam and essential for quality gerontological nursing practice and leadership of elder care teams.
Infection Preventionist Training
AHCA/NCAL’s Infection Preventionist Specialized Training (IPCO) is recommended for individuals responsible for infection prevention and control in all long-term care settings and is specifically tailored to train Infection Preventionists (IPs) in nursing facilities.
CMS mandates that every nursing facility have a designated and specially trained Infection Preventionist who is running a comprehensive infection prevention and control program. CMS guidance states that facilities should consider a backup IP when the primary IP is not available. AHCA also highly recommends that every nursing facility train at least two clinical staff members as IPs.

AHCA/NCAL’s #WhyICare workforce campaign broadcasts the stories of individuals who work in long-term care, sharing what inspires them about their careers and how they got to where they are today.
