

Mackenzie originally joined HCANJ as a Project Specialist, overseeing the administrative aspects of a grant from the New Jersey Department of Health to provide education and training on infection prevention and control for health care professionals. In that role, she worked closely with association staff to design programs and deliver on-site trainings in long-term care centers across the state.
She now leads the Administrator Candidate Application Assistance Program (ACAAP), a joint initiative with the NJ Department of Health, created to simplify and expedite the licensure process for aspiring administrators. Through this program, Mackenzie helps candidates navigate the application process with expert guidance and streamlined communication making it easier for future leaders to advance their careers in the field.
Before joining HCANJ, Mackenzie was a member of the Emergency Preparedness department at the Ocean County Health Department, where she managed COVID-19 testing sites and vaccine clinics during the pandemic, and also served as a Field Representative in the communicable disease department. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant on two community-based chronic disease intervention programs targeting both children and adults.
Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University.
